New Live Action Video -- Do the people need Planned Parenthood?

Do the people need Planned Parenthood?

Are the Medicaid funded services that were provided at Planned Parenthood unavailable at other medical care providers in Indiana?

I encourage you to ask yourself these questions while watching the latest undercover video released by Live Action:

Does the de-funding of Planed Parenthood in Indiana hurt the people of Indiana or are they still able to receive the care they need?

In May of this year the House, Senate, and governor of Indiana passed a bill de-funding Planned Parenthood in their state. Why? Planned Parenthood has been exposed numerous times over the years, and just this year Live Action has released over 8 undercover investigations exposing the lies and illegal activities of Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood was not de-funded because of moral religious or beliefs, or because they perform abortions; but because of their lies, involvement it human trafficking, covering up of sexual offenders, lack of reporting sexual abuse of minors as young at 13, and much more. (Learn more at the links below)

Immediately after Indiana de-funded Planned Parenthood the Obama Administration threatened to strip Medicaid funding in Indiana.

“The Obama administration is holding patients’ health hostage in return for funding the largest abortion provider in the country,” said Lila Rose 0f Live Action. “This abuse of power is a threat to every other state – that no matter the cost or consequences, this Administration will sacrifice healthcare for the needy to continue pouring tax dollars into Planned Parenthood.”

The above video was made to help society understand the people will not be hurt by the de-funding of Planned Parenthood these services can be received at 800 other locations.

Do you think Planned Parenthood was justifiably de-funded? Should president Obama and his staff be intervening, or is he once again protecting Planned Parenthood?

Sign the petition now to stand with Indiana in de-funding Planned Parenthood.

Be sure to share this video with you colleagues to help them understand why Planned Parenthood should be de-funded.

Defeat, No Truth Has Been Told

Some may say that all the hard work to de-fund Planned Parenthood came to nothing when the Senate voted against the bill to strip Planned Parenthood of their $363 million in annual funding, but this isn’t the end of the fight.  I can tell you Planned Parenthood's victory email more than hurt, but this isn't over. For truth is on our side and we will continue to expose Planned Parenthood.

Although we could choose to sit back because the efforts of the last few months weren’t successful in de-funding Planned Parenthood, we must continue to stand for protecting the innocence of the unborn and the dignity of women.  Our phone calls, emails, articles, videos, social networking, and letters to the editors weren’t in vain for the truth has been told and millions of Americans who never cared what Planned Parenthood was up to now care and know that Planned Parenthood hurts women.  So I urge you to not let this defeat in the Senate and continued funding of Planned Parenthood bring you down or take you to the to the brink of giving up.  We must continue to stand for life and expose the truth.  If we don’t, who will?

In the many years I have been participating in the pro-life movement, I have never seen the pro-life movement so unified in the fight to end abortion, and de-funding Planned Parenthood is only one of the approaches to ending the devastation of abortion.  Continue to expose the truth of the hurt abortion brings to men, women, and children.  But most importantly remember that God is truth and with him all things are possible, therefore we must solidify our pro-life efforts with an abundance of prayer.

I encourage you to comment, sharing a story of how someone you know or heard of had their heart and mind changed by the recent exposure of Planned Parenthood.

Supporting Pro-Life Legislation, Even With Exceptions

Last night, Facebook posts by pro-life advocates brought attention to Abby Johnson’s supports of a bill that would require a sonogram be performed and the doctor to explain it at least 24 hours before the abortion, except in cases of rape, incest, and abnormal development of the fetus (Greek for young one) the mother has the choice not to be told about the sonogram by the doctor or to see it.

Abby tells people not to get into a “tizzy” because there is an exception to the bill. She states that these exceptions are only 1% of all abortions performed, and that thousands of lives will still be saved if this bill passes. Abby says, “We win some battles before winning the war.”

Some pro-lifers are angered by Abby’s response to this exception, but I agree with her, the fight for the life of un-born will not be won in one stroke. My mom very eloquently explained on Facebook why it is important to move forward with imperfect pro-life legislation and that Abby is correct in supporting this bill even with the exceptions. See my mom’s response:

Louisa Millington
Although human law may not always express the moral imperative, which is protection of all human life in all of its stages, we must always work to change our laws, which have an obligation to protect and preserve all human life. With that being said, Pope John Paul II in The Gospel of Life tells us that we may support imperfect legislation, legislation, for example, that does not ban all abortions, but puts some control on the current more permissive laws by aiming to lower the number of abortions. We must attempt , however imperfectly, to incrementally reverse the massive tide of abortion through imperfect legislation. "This does not in fact represent an illicit cooperation with an unjust law, but rather a legitimate and proper attempt to limit its evil aspects." Gospel of Life, no. 73

The same principals apply to imperfect politicians. If we wait for electable candidates that perfectly conform to our pro-life position, we will likely be continuously disappointed with representation supporting the platform of the Culture of Death.

The last thing I would say on this topic is that the abortion industry did not become this million plus, baby killing machine over night, and short of the hand of God intervening on our behalf, the rolling back of abortion rights will also not happen over night with one individual piece of legislation. It will likely happen one imperfect law at a time.
