Urgent Prayer Request!

Please pray for a 15 year old young lady who is being pressured into an abortion by her mother.

Last weekend a 15 years old girl was taken to Planned Parenthood by her mother. As soon as her mom dropped her off, the young woman left Planned Parenthood. The mom is forcing her daughter to have an abortion and has scheduled the abortion for Friday the 10th at a Planned Parenthood in Tustin, California.

Please pray for this young woman, her unborn child, and all those who are counseling her.

Update June 7 -- A woman by the name of Connie is in direct contact with the young lady being forced into having an abortion.  Many resources are being passed on to her, but there is some difficulty due to the teenager being underage and needing somewhere to legally stay.  Please keep praying for this young lady as she struggles with her mother to keep her child's life.

Update June 8 -- Through an email, chain I just received update on the 15 year old girl whose mom was attempting to force her to have an abortion.  She is two months pregnant and has been staying in different temporary locations since previously staying at the boyfriend's house, where the mother later sent the police looking for her daughter.  Good news is that the young lady has a meeting scheduled for later today with a lawyer at a pro-life clinic.  When asked how the young girl is doing, the counselor in contact with the 15 year old shared that she is "very afraid, quiet, (and) like a lost child".  Please continue to pray for this young lady as she is now a 2 month pregnant run away and desperately needs loving support.

If anyone wishes to send a spiritual bouquet, card, or email expressing your prayers and support please send them to Vivian Brehm at vivscafe@sbcglobal.net or mail to the adress below and Vivan has assured she will pass everything on to the young lady.

Survivors Celebrate Mother’s Day by saving 3 babies

I wondered how many women walking into the abortion clinic would still be a mother to a living, breathing, and moving child inside the womb tomorrow.  Would it be a happy Mother’s Day for all?

Three babies are still breathing and safely growing inside their mothers’ wombs because the volunteer efforts of over thirty pro-life warriors outside of an abortion clinic on the day before Mother’s Day.  A group of about 15 young Survivors joined with local sidewalk counselors, youth groups, and Knights of Columbus to celebrate Mother’s Day one day early outside a Family Planning Associates in San Bernardino, California.
The purpose of our visit was to remind each woman that if she were pregnant, then she was already a mother, and to pray that she would have a happy Mother’s Day the next day.  We held homemade, life-affirming Mother’s Day and fetal development signs for all who drove by and entered the clinic to see.  Survivors’ trained sidewalk counselors talked to many mothers outside of the abortion clinic, encouraging them to choose life for their preborn children.  Many women were determined to enter the abortion clinic that morning, and all were met with beautiful bouquets of flowers with attached homemade Mother’s Day cards.

Celebrate Life and Support Mothers

The day before Mother's Day, abortion clinics are still open and thousands of women across the country will enter an abortion clinic a mother and then walk away as the mother of a child who will never live to talk, sing, dance, play sports or enjoy life.

As Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust we know that these innocent children deserve life and that mothers deserve better than abortion! Mother's Day is a beautiful holiday, celebrating the blessing of motherhood and honoring all mothers.

This Mother's Day join Survivors in our annual Mother's Day Outreach to celebrate and encourage life and motherhood!

Surrounded By Abortion Day to Day

Abortion is hardly a speck on most people’s radar. It’s no big deal and not my business, right?   But abortion is constantly surrounding us in our every day life: through our conversations, where we are at a given moment, and who we are with.  So here is an example of two consecutive days where my life was surrounded by abortion that was outside of my work and blog.

Sunday night I sat in the car with my mom on our way to El Torito for dinner when I looked to my right and saw Family Planning Associates (FPA) abortion clinic. As we drove by I thought about times when I’ve sidewalk counseled there and once saw a police officer bring an inmate from the local jail to the clinic for an abortion.

As we continued down this beautiful street with pretty green trees covered in lights, I commented to my mom about how sad it is to be so close in proximity to where we live our daily lives and there’s an abortion clinic right next to us. Just a block down the way from FPA my mom mentioned that there’s a Planned Parenthood on the corner next door to a strip club, and she recalled a time when she prayed outside of that Planned Parenthood with Father Pavone when one of my siblings was just a baby in a pack on her back...  Moments later we pulled up to El Torito and walked in to have dinner.

As I looked at this beautiful little area that was masked by pretty trees, clean cut buildings, and bright lights I felt uncomfortable knowing what takes place in those buildings within eye site. I could have sat there during my entire dinner heartbroken just thinking about it all, but if I did what good would that have done?

Southern California Surrounded by abortion clinics.

The next morning I was hurrying to finish some work before going to Disneyland with my family when it was brought to my attention that a friend on Facebook had checked in at Planned Parenthood and said “accidents happen”.   I was so angry but continued to read the comment where people said things like “You’re not keeping it!” or called the baby “cheese”.   Oh, I was so upset I didn’t know if I should scream or cry.   After a moment I understood it was a joke.   For the next couple hours I was highly disturbed by the “joke” and recalled all those times over the years when I would walk up on a group of friends who quickly quieted when spotting me.   Later when I inquired I’m told someone made an abortion joke and didn't want to offend me ‘cause I’m pro-life'.

Hours later I was in the car on my way to Disneyland and heard a song called Lucy by SKILLET and some of the main words of the song were "hey Lucy I remember your name".  When the song ended the radio host said the song was about a young man and his girlfriend in high school who got pregnant and made a choice to abort.  In the song the vocalist sings about how he would do things differently if he had the chance.   My heart ached for this couple and their regret in the name of ‘choice’.   Moments later I looked to my left and there was a Planned Parenthood clinic off the freeway where in 2009, within ten days of each other, two women were taken from the clinic by ambulance after an abortion.

Abortion surrounds our every day life whether we know it or not. There are abortions within our own families that we are surprised to find out about or will never know of, friends you never thought would have abortions. All of us are missing people from our lives in the name of ‘choice’.

Now I ask you, what kind of impact does abortion have on you and your every day life?
