Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you and you family!

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

TWEET THAT! Score #10forTebow

This season NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has been racking up scores of points for the Broncos. While this is very exciting for him and all his fans, pro-abortion proponents have turned it into something rather unfavorable . . .

Since Tim Tebow is outspokenly pro-life and has the power to reach millions of people; abortion supporters are not too happy. Pro-abortion advocates have started a campaign that encourages $10 to be donated to any pro-abortion organization for every touchdown Tebow makes. I find this wicked and frustrating, espeically because the campaign has gotten quite a bit of traction. Those who support the taking of innocent lives may be getting a kick out of this campaign, but little to they realize that the pro-life movement will not sit by idly while it happens.

Pro-life blogger Jill Stanek has provided us with an opportunity to counter the negative attack and have a positive impact:

So, pro-lifers unite! Let’s take over the #10forTebow hashtag – beginning today! Use that hashtag for all your tweets. And watch the Broncos/Patriots tomorrow, December 18, at 4:15p EST and note your $10 donation at #10forTebow

Even if you're not able to donate $10 for each of Tebow's touchdowns you can help create some buzz on Facebook and Twitter by sharing this blog and by using the #10forTebow hashtag.

Inspired to Speak, Are you?

Every Thanksgiving I spend a portion of my day going through my entire contacts list to tell those dear to me “Happy Thanksgiving”. As I went from A to Z sending text messages and emails I clicked on Kortney Blythe Gordon’s name and started to type . . . Then I remembered Kortney and baby Sophy are no longer with us . . .

For those of you who do not follow my blog: Korney was a dear friend of mine who died in a tragic car accident that took the life of her 21 week old unborn baby and another pro-life hero named Jon Scharfenberger. Kortney dedicated her life to defending the unborn, and educating others across the country to do the same (read my blog about her work and what an inspiration she is).

As I very suddenly remembered that Kortney died in a car accident, my heart broke. I sat mourning the loss of such a wonderful person, and once again the question I’ve asked over and over again came to mind: “Why? Why Kortney? She did so much when many people do nothing.” Babies are dying daily by the thousands, and millions of people are apathetic. Even those who are “pro-life”. Many don’t stand firm to their “pro-life” convictions, some won’t say a word when their friend is considering having an abortion, and others are not willing to let go of even a little bit of free time to defend life.

Kortney was in her mid 20s, just married, and had her first little baby on the way. Her life was short, but my gosh did she live a life in service to God. She inspired many beyond words, and into action. She may not be here to save babies and encourage others to do the same, but we have the inspiring memory of Kortney, along with the ability to do what she did. So, here are the questions I ask myself, and I challenge you to do the same:

Will I pray for an end to abortion?
Will I give whatever time I can to defend the unborn?
Will I always be there for anyone who is considering an abortion and who needs to talk?

In honor of Kortney, let’s say yes! Start with an hour a week, or even an hour a day! Give whatever you can. As Kortney once told me this work is so much bigger than us; it’s “God’s work” and “it’s our duty to help others”.

p.s. Kortney’s life can still inspire us, I encourage you to read this blog about just one of my many experiences with her.

Be My Vote Campaign

Last year I voted for the first time. I cannot event tell you how excited I was; this responsibility was a big deal to me. I had spent years waiting for the day when I could stand for the moral issues of my Catholic faith in the voting booth. Even when I couldn't vote yet I talked to people about how they were voting and why it was some important. Whether you're 12 or 30 you can do the same. I encourage you to participate in BeMyVote.com because together we can change the outcome of the upcoming election! When we are silent people are hurt and lives are lost.

"Faith cleanses the heart. It is the result of God’s initiative toward man. It is not simply a choice that men make for themselves. Faith comes about because men are touched deep within by God’s spirit, who opens and purifies their hearts.” ~ Pope Benedict XVI

13 Emergency Calls from Abortion Clinic

The 911 calls you are about to hear in the below video by Operation Rescue speak for themselves. Abortion may be considered a "privacy issue" but it's hurting women, and we wants to help these women who's lives are being endangered and lost because of dangerous abortion practices.

The woman mentioned in one of the last calls, where the clinic staff member is asked if the woman is pregnant, died inside the abortion clinic. Staff has been asked to keep quiet and not discuss this death. In addition the New Mexico Medical Board is refusing to investigate.

"180" Your Views Will be Challenged

I'm very impressed by this video "180" put together by Ray Comfort. He compares the Jewish Holocaust to the current American Holocaust: Abortion. Not just that, he challenges the way one thinks and makes moral decisions. I normally don't watch YouTube videos that are over a few minutes long, but I promise that every second of this 30 minute long video is worth watching.

I don't want to share too much for I believe the video speaks for itself; however, please comment sharing your thoughts. I would love to hear from you!

What are your thoughts about the video? What stood out to you?
