Urgent Prayer Request!

Please pray for a 15 year old young lady who is being pressured into an abortion by her mother.

Last weekend a 15 years old girl was taken to Planned Parenthood by her mother. As soon as her mom dropped her off, the young woman left Planned Parenthood. The mom is forcing her daughter to have an abortion and has scheduled the abortion for Friday the 10th at a Planned Parenthood in Tustin, California.

Please pray for this young woman, her unborn child, and all those who are counseling her.

Update June 7 -- A woman by the name of Connie is in direct contact with the young lady being forced into having an abortion.  Many resources are being passed on to her, but there is some difficulty due to the teenager being underage and needing somewhere to legally stay.  Please keep praying for this young lady as she struggles with her mother to keep her child's life.

Update June 8 -- Through an email, chain I just received update on the 15 year old girl whose mom was attempting to force her to have an abortion.  She is two months pregnant and has been staying in different temporary locations since previously staying at the boyfriend's house, where the mother later sent the police looking for her daughter.  Good news is that the young lady has a meeting scheduled for later today with a lawyer at a pro-life clinic.  When asked how the young girl is doing, the counselor in contact with the 15 year old shared that she is "very afraid, quiet, (and) like a lost child".  Please continue to pray for this young lady as she is now a 2 month pregnant run away and desperately needs loving support.

If anyone wishes to send a spiritual bouquet, card, or email expressing your prayers and support please send them to Vivian Brehm at vivscafe@sbcglobal.net or mail to the adress below and Vivan has assured she will pass everything on to the young lady.

  1. Praying. How truly terrible that a grandmother would choose to not only end the life of her grandchild, but wound the life of her daughter. I'm sure she believes it's the best thing for her daughter, which may be the saddest of all.

  4. @ Anonymous.... from the email chain I understand the mom believes it better to abort than have the baby suffer. That being the case, an adoption would be a perfect answer.

Thanks you for all the prayers everyone! I'll let you all know as soon as I hear anything more.

  5. That's awful! Words cannot describe how sad that makes me.
I know a girl who had a baby at 15, and she received so much support and love from the church community and her Confirmation classmates--it was really something. After she gave birth, she seemed so peaceful. Her son was baptized recently, and, even though you can tell it's hard raising a baby at such a young age, I really admire and respect her and think she will do a wonderful job because of the support she has from her family and loved ones.
I just wish that every girl--and boys, too--who are going through this sort of struggle could have the support and love that they deserve and need.
I'm praying for this girl and her child.

  6. The only mom that matters is the mom carrying her 2 month old preborn child. She knows she will suffer without her child, she deserves to be able to parent or place. With support and love a 15 year old can be the parent she wants to be. If she herself thinks she's too young to parent, and is so obviously against aborting her child, then she needs someone who will help her find the right adoption fit for her and her child.
We're saying prayers for this young woman, her child, and her family. Praying that her mother's heart will embrace her daughter and grandchild whether parented within their family or within another family. I'm an adoptive mom and I know for a fact that so many people would suffer if my child were not here, he is the definition of joy.

  9. I'm very glad to know that so many people are praying for this poor girl and all those involved. I pray that if she is not in the circumstances to keep the baby that she will see the pregnancy to term and give the precious child up for adoption. In a number of private emails people have even told me they would be willing to take the baby.

I hope to have an update soon. Keep the prayers coming please.
